How Jeff Kern Lives United

How Jeff Kern Lives United

Quiet, humble and modest ... these are just few of the words used to describe Jeff Kern.

An attorney at Akerman LLP, Jeff devotes his practice to estate planning, asset protection planning, and all aspects of administration of estates and trusts. His clientele includes many high net worth individuals and families which he advises on their financial strategies. But it is his dedication and devotion to those less fortunate that makes Jeff stand out from among his peers.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jeff moved to Florida with his parents when he was a young child. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and went on to receive his law degree from Memphis State University and his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Miami in the area of taxation.

Jeff is a member of United Way's Professional Advisor Committee, a group of tax attorneys, accountants, estate planners, trust officers and insurance agents who volunteer their time and lend their expertise and guidance in support of United Way. This committee plays an important role in United Way's Endowment campaign which will ensure that in the future, vital community programs remain funded in good times and in bad.

In addition to volunteering at United Way, Jeff has also been involved with the Jewish Federation of Greater Miami, Villa Maria Nursing Center and the Guardian Ad Litem program.

A strong believer in United Way's mission of building committee by helping people care for one another and of his work in the committee, Jeff recently amended his will allocating a significant portion of his estate to United Way and encourages others to do so.

"You need to do something in your life or do it at your death," he concluded.

This is how Jeff Kern LIVES UNITED.
